Monetary payouts carry an 8.5% platform fee, billed on your monthly invoice in addition to per-referral fees; app-grant and in-app rewards are free of it.

What counts as a “validated” referral — and what am I billed for?+
A referral is validated only when the referred user does what you define (subscribes, completes onboarding, stays active, and so on) and passes our AI genuineness check. You're billed per validated referral — clicks, signups, installs, and test-mode referrals are never billed.
How do the per-referral fees work alongside the monthly price?+
Free includes 100 validated referrals a month, then $1 each. Growth is $149/mo (billed annually; $229 month-to-month) plus $0.80 per validated referral. On top of that, monetary rewards you pay out carry an 8.5% fee (see below). Usage is metered and billed monthly — so your cost only rises when genuine referrals do, which is when the campaign is actually working.
What happens when I pass my free referrals for the month?+
Nothing shuts off. Your allowance resets at the start of each calendar month; beyond it, extra validated referrals are simply billed at your plan's per-referral rate.
Are reward payouts included in your fees, or separate?+
The reward money itself is separate: it comes from a balance you pre-fund that payouts draw down, never from your Invitebase invoice. Invitebase does charge an 8.5% platform fee on monetary rewards you pay out (see the next question) — but that fee is billed on your monthly invoice, not taken from your reward balance. App-grant and in-app rewards carry no such fee.
Is there a fee on reward payouts?+
Yes, on monetary ones. Invitebase charges 8.5% of the amount paid out for every reward on a cash rail — gift cards, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Wise, and ACH — in addition to the per-referral fee. Gift cards are cash equivalents, so the fee applies there too. It's billed monthly on your platform invoice alongside your usage, not drawn from your pre-funded reward balance. App grants, free access, and in-app rewards aren't monetary, so they carry no payout fee at all.
Do I have to handle payouts, taxes, and KYC?+
No. Cash-style rewards (gift cards, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Wise, ACH) run through a disbursement partner that handles recipient KYC and the rails. App-grant and in-app rewards need no monetary payout at all.
What if a referral turns out to be fake or gets reversed?+
You don't pay for it. Suspicious referrals are held before any reward is released, and anything later reversed as fraud is excluded from your bill — you only ever pay for genuine ones.
Can I change plans or cancel anytime?+
Yes — upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from the dashboard whenever you like. No seat minimums and no lock-in; annual Growth is prepaid for the year, monthly is month-to-month.
Can I try it before going live?+
Yes. Test mode gives you isolated data and an event simulator to fire synthetic events, so you can watch your rules and gates evaluate end-to-end before a single real reward — and test-mode referrals are never billed.
